I have always enjoyed tea, but in the beginning I mainly enjoyed it for the taste. Little did I know that there could be so much more to it.

I would periodically drink tea, off and on, throughout the years. It was my go to when I was sick. So when I recently went through some medical changes this past year, I decided to look a little deeper into this rich drink. Little did I know I would fall in love with everything "tea".

Herbs are the main body of tea. But to be considered a "tea", the combination of herbs has to include a tea leave, whether it be green tea, oolong, black tea, etc. But what happens when you don't have a tea leaf and you just have a combination of herbs? In this case you get an infusion, or a tisane. But to keep it simple, we stick with "tea".

This past year I was going through some medical changes and looking for alternative treatments to help get me through while my doctor sorted out my treatments. I was really looking for relief from my symptoms but I discovered a whole world of forgotten remedies. I found that chamomile calmed my nerves while working together with lavender to help me relax. I found that catnip helped promote dopamine, also known as the "happiness hormone", and vervain helped me to sleep. I began experimenting with different herbal combinations and began to have fun with concocting different drinks, so much fun in fact I roped my husband into it as well.

Welcome to our website: blog edition. We are so happy you are here. I am sure that you are curious about the world of tea and all that it entails. Look no further! We are here to provide you the basic information you may need on your tea journey. If you are questioning whether tea would be a good addition to your daily routine, we are here to help you out.

Herbal tea has a rich and exciting history. Originating in China and spreading like wildfire across the globe. It was not just enjoyed for the taste but also for its many other purposes. Herbs have compact properties that, when combined with each other, provide different elements to healing, overall wellness and spiritual practices.

Now a days tea is enjoyed simply because of the taste. While that is an important property, we here at Cozy Jones Tea want to lift tea up and bring back the heart of its purpose. We wish to provide people with an alternative to their every day ailments while also providing some warmth to the soul. Our herbal teas are made with organic, unprocessed, whole herbs that hold onto the essential properties of the plants to provide an overall wellness experience. Our fruit teas use dehydrated, whole fruits instead of "natural" and artificial flavors. This keeps the essence of the fruit whole so you can continue to get the full benefit whether it be Vitamin C, potassium or magnesium. These are vitamins and minerals naturally provided by fruits and we did not want to take away from that.
